Yes — well‑behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep them under control to protect wildlife and other campers.
Owls, deer, hares, foxes, bats, birds of prey, and plenty of songbirds. We keep the site wild to support biodiversity.

Yes — families love the space and freedom. Children must be supervised due to open water, wildlife, and campfires.
Small, respectful groups are welcome. Loud parties, stag/hen groups, and amplified music are not. We can cater for events, enquire seperately
We ask for quiet from around 10pm to protect the peaceful, nature‑focused atmosphere.
We remain open in most conditions. If extreme weather affects safety or access, we’ll contact you directly.
Refunds follow our cancellation policy. Weather alone doesn’t usually qualify.
Yes — miles of them. The Vermuyden Way, Chesterfield Canal and River Trent are all within a 2 mile radius.
Local pubs and shops are a short drive away in Misteron, Owston Ferry, and surrounding villages. The Idle Brewery and White Hart Pub is a short walk away.
The site is rural, peaceful and has a hedge and fence boundary. It is safe for Solo Campers and anyone who wants to try wild camping without the fear of being disturbed. We ask guests to keep valuables safe and respect the land.
