1. What is Everwild Camping?

Everwild is a nearly‑wild, nature‑focused campsite in North Lincolnshire (DN9 1BQ), offering spacious pitches, campfires, wildlife, and a back‑to‑basics outdoor experience without the crowds or corporate feel.

2. Where exactly are you located?

We’re just outside the village of Gunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, postcode DN9 1BQ, within easy reach of Doncaster, Scunthorpe, and the wider Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire area.

3. What makes Everwild different from other campsites?

Large, private pitches, minimal rules, campfires encouraged, dog‑friendly, no noisy holiday‑park vibes, and a focus on nature, peace, and space.

 Booking & Arrival

4. How do I book a pitch?

Bookings are made directly through our email booking@everwildcamping.com.

5. Can I book last‑minute?

Yes — if we have availability. Weekends fill up quickly in peak season.

6. What time is check‑in and check‑out?

Check‑in: typically from 2pm

Check‑out: usually by 11am

(You can adjust these if you want different times.)

7. Do you allow day visitors?

Only by prior arrangement to protect the peaceful atmosphere.

8. What facilities do you have?

Everwild is intentionally simple. We offer:

Large grass pitches

Portaloos

Bottled water

Fire pits available

Space, wildlife, and quiet

Picnic benches

9. Are the pitches suitable for tents, campervans, or caravans?

Yes for tents and hammocks. Motorhomes or caravans are not catered for, its all about the wild camping. 

10. Do you have electric hook‑ups?

No — Everwild is a low‑impact, off‑grid camping experience.

11. Can I have a campfire?

Absolutely. Campfires are part of the Everwild experience. Fire pits are provided or you can bring your own raised fire bowl.

12. Do you sell firewood?

Yes — sustainably sourced firewood is available on‑site.

Dogs & Wildlife

13. Are dogs allowed?

Yes — well‑behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep them under control to protect wildlife and other campers.

14. What wildlife might we see?

Owls, deer, hares, foxes, bats, birds of prey, and plenty of songbirds. We keep the site wild to support biodiversity.

 Access & Practicalities

15. Is the site accessible for all vehicles?

Yes but we keep cars and vehicles off the main site tp protect the habitat.

16. Can I park next to my pitch?

No — but we provide trolleys to aid getting your equipment to your pitch. .

17. Is the site suitable for families?

Yes — families love the space and freedom. Children must be supervised due to open water, wildlife, and campfires.

 Noise, Groups & Behaviour

18. Do you allow group bookings?

Small, respectful groups are welcome. Loud parties, stag/hen groups, and amplified music are not. We can cater for events, enquire seperately 

19. Is there a noise policy?

We ask for quiet from around 10pm to protect the peaceful, nature‑focused atmosphere.

Weather & Conditions

20. What happens if the weather is bad?

We remain open in most conditions. If extreme weather affects safety or access, we’ll contact you directly.

21. Are refunds available?

Refunds follow our cancellation policy. Weather alone doesn’t usually qualify.

Things to Do

22. Are there walking routes nearby?

Yes — miles of them. The Vermuyden Way, Chesterfield Canal and River Trent are all within a 2 mile radius.

23. Are there pubs or shops nearby?

Local pubs and shops are a short drive away in Misteron, Owston Ferry, and surrounding villages. The Idle Brewery and White Hart Pub is a short walk away. 

Safety & Site Rules

24. Is the site secure?

The site is rural, peaceful and has a hedge and fence boundary. It is safe for Solo Campers and anyone who wants to try wild camping without the fear of being disturbed. We ask guests to keep valuables safe and respect the land.

25. What rules should I know before visiting?
